Here we have a rare, collectible and rather beautiful 3 1/2" gauge Stevenson's Locomotion. Number 1 on the Stocton & Darlington railway, the very first passenger hauling locomotive so a very topical prototype for this the 200th anniversary year of railways. The model was professionally made by Maxwell Hemmings, and comes with associated paperwork. It has been test steamed as part of Hemmings original commissioning process, and it is designed to run on solid fuel tablets, but really, it's rigged up with gears from a motor inside the display box, so is best suited to being a lovely display item that will tick over electrically on demand.
We are super busy here in the workshop at the moment, so apologies for the lack of written information here at the moment!
